Red face Silver cars - what color rims?

What color rims look good with a silver car? A bright light silver, not a darker gunmetal-ish silver.

Can't seem to find anything inspiring on google...

Re: Silver cars - what color rims?

Bronze looks good on a tuner car, but this is for a Ferrari. I was thinking black or dark gunmetal?

I would go for the gunmetal look. Which Ferrari is that you build? Do you have any pics of the bodyshell? Seeing the bodyshell can make the decision easier!

Re: Silver cars - what color rims?

Shell isn't painted yet. It's the 348. I was thinking about painting my Superamerica the same color. I just can't seem to make a red Ferrari.

I think you should post pics when the bodyshell is painted, and people can help you easier in that case. You have plenty of time to paint the rims either gunmetal or black after the bodyshell is painted, and even YOU can choose easier when the bodyshell is ready I think by seeing it . Good luck on the painting though!

Re: Silver cars - what color rims?

At the moment I think gun metal or maybe white would look good, but as janositamas said, it will be easier to tell once the body is painted.

Sorry, tonio, but if I see another car with black wheels and a chrome lip I'm going to turn in all my automotive interests and start enjoying ladies' shoes.

Sooooo played, like "time attack" Volks

I'd rock these, even though it's on a red 355:

All pretty good suggestions, I guess it really just is personal choice. And you can always change it later of course. Lol, helpful aren't I?

Re: Silver cars - what color rims?

well since you had 2 for black and 2 against ... i'll go for the tie breaker ... BLACK! and it's been done because there are 3 choices in wheels that aren't stupid. They are: chrome, black or something between medium and a dark gray - be it aluminum/natural or painted. Say what you want but anything else isn't cool. You can try it, and you can think it's cool, but it's not. Silver body paint with some sort of gray wheel runs the risk of being almost the same color but not quite and just looking ignorant, chrome always works, and black ... well black is just where it's at. And now you have the definitive answer - end all, beat all. This applies to all cars that matter and the algebra there goes like this: your car + some other wheel = a car that doesn't matter.
