Lowering your car...what's it take?

If I wanted to lower my 2002 G20. What would I have to get?

Shocks, Suspension, Coilovers Springs? Anything else?

And what are the good ones to buy?

Chek ; The TIEN NA SUSPENSION KIT has what you would pretty much want - but of course, I don't know exactly what you want. It comes with the Springs and Shocks and all the features Luke mentioned. It is quite costly - but what isn't?

Question

If I understand correctly... they have 3 height adjustments and 16 for the dampening? What are the 3 height levels?

Just springs would do the job. It would be a good idea to get some shocks because your stock shocks will wear out in about 1/2 year or so. better to replace those too

the height level for the highest setting is equal to a 1inch drop, the lowest is about a 2.5inch drop.

Question

Luke,
Thanks for the info. Are these complete from stem to stern....? Meaning do they have the spring perches, hats and everything with them? Do they come assembled and ready to go on the car? Do you have any idea what they charge to rebuild them when the time comes?

Jon

Thanx for the info Luke.
So you're saying that all I need is the Tein set and shocks and I'm good to go?

the suspension set includes:
4 Tein Type S springs
4 adjustable (16way) Tein Type NA shocks
4 'C' clips to set the height with the groves that's on the shocks
1 Tein shock-adjustment tool
1 Tein sticker
uses factory pillow ball mount, bushing and dust boot.
hopefully these info are useful in making your decision

I dont know what it cost to rebuild them..but most likely you wouldnt need to do that...unless u are going to take your P11 out to the tracks...if that's the case, i would look for the JIC SF-1 Coilovers for the P11...they are fully rebuildable, you can pick your spring rates (i have 10kg in the front and 8kg in the back) and comes with an aluminum pillowball mount. But keep in mind this is a pretty serious set up and if you are worried about ride quality, this is not the most comfortable set up. Go with the TEINs

Just to comment on the Teins height settings...

There are 3 settings which are approximately 2" drop, 1.8" drop, and 1.2" drop. Not 1" to 2.5"
