Welcome to A/F. is the round hole in the plastic piece on the side of the seat where the control is?

Try clicking on these 2 links to '05 Ventures currently being sold on eBay. There are some photos of the seats, maybe that might help you. ( Scroll down a bit to see the pictures in the auction page.)

Re: 05 venture seats

ecoli23: i just went though the same thing as you are. i went to gm parts and after the third try i had the part in my hand. cost is apx $23 cdn tax pd. the part # 88951638 . i had to fix one more thing on the seat . i removed the screw from the seat recline handle and removed the handle to gain access the plastic hole in the side of this plastic cover. there is a screw that helps hold the big plastic cover to the seat frame screwed to the seat frame ( bottom of the hole broken & had to lift up & down to get the philips head screw driver in to remove the screw ) i replaced that screw with a longer one and a slightly larger washer on the screw to pull the seat plastic snug again to the seat frame. i then was able to place the new part in the round hole and push it in till i felt it click into place. then i moved the plastic panel a bit by hand and the had to snug that screw with the washer on it just a bit more. i then reinstall the seat recline handle. this is the removed broken part. hope this helps you out. 463

Re: 05 venture seats

it's called a "plug" in the up loaded gm view of the seat here it's noted as #14 in the bottom right and the # 13 is the new longer screw with a washer that you may half to add if yours is broken out. 463 target="_blank">
