Ambient temperature sensor connector location

Hi there.

First I would like to wish all of you here a happy New year.

Now to my question, over the last weekend I replaced the overhead console in my 03 Venture, I had the one that does not have the DIC and installed one that does come with the DIC.

So now I have to install the "Ambient temperature sensor" in order it should display the temperature. I tried to follow Greg's instructions on is site which is defiantly a great help but i was not able to find the connector neither near the windshield washer tank nor near the front bumper, can anybody here help me locate the connector. maybe upload a clear picture where the connector should be located.

thanks in advance

zalke

Re: Ambient temperature sensor connector location

in Gregs pics that connector looks like it's right be side the hot or + post on the battery. it may be hidden in the plastic conduit, it's worth a look. 463

Re: Ambient temperature sensor connector location

zalke: you may end up running a 2 conductor wire from the temp sensor to the display in the over head in order to compleat your new install. gm on some of the vans did pre wire for some options and not on others. check this link of Gregs on the rpo codes against your van codes (there located on the inside of left rear side cover in the cargo area) just to see what your van did or did not come with. link:http://www.my-chevy-venture.com/RPO-codes.html 463

Re: Ambient temperature sensor connector location

thanks so much 463 for your help..

seems like this will be my only option.

BTW while searching for that connector i found one open connector which has only 1 pink wire.. and it was wrapped in the plastic conduit that goes from the near the battery all the way to the other end of the car, does anybody know where that supposed to be plugged in??

Re: Ambient temperature sensor connector location

I noticed this same wire on my wife's 02 Venture while replacing the battery.

I don't think it has anything to do with the temperature.

Read the responses I got here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=768498

Re: Ambient temperature sensor connector location

you should have a connector on the passenger side right in front of the condensor as on mine the little temp deal bolts on that side also.
