Words for XSpeed

Golly Speed..you sound bitter. You're work is good. Art has a way of rearing it's ugly head throughout your life. No matter what you do it will always be there. Ironically being a radiologist may open more doors for your art.

My fulltime job is as an artist/media developer in the healthcare industry. I make really really good money and basically I draw crap.

I'm curious to hear more on your story as you go forward. I can relate to your current path so please keep me posted.

Remember also that we all grow through communities like these and no ill will is meant by calling you out. I just didn't want to write in dudes thread about education so I moved it here. I hope I haven't offended you...just wanted you to know what I was thinking. I think you are extremely talented and I bet that talent rises to the surface no matter what you do. You might not have much say in the matter.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

Re: Words for XSpeed

Haha.....

Where to start?

Basically here's my 411 plan as of now.

1.) Believe it or not, I've applied to my school and got accepted as a Computer Science major 5 years back. Back then, I had no clue what I was doing and where I was getting myself into. I didn't even know my school had a Graphic Design and Art program. Computer Science is crap. Bored the crap out of me in my first year and I changed my major to Graphic Designer after learning the school offered it. From there on, I decided to stick to my major and eventually graduate from the school I got accepted into, which was hard from the start. That's why I'm planning to graduate with a BSA degree in Graphic Design.

2.) Radiology was first my dad's idea. He's a Radiologist; more of a X-Ray Technician. Makes good money and a good life. Not too stressful and not too much work. Great benefits and pension plans. Don't get me wrong, my dad isn't pressuring me to get in the same field as him. As the years progressed, working for a hospital is a better deal than working at some design firm or company.

3.) It's only a year ago that I decided to graduate with a BSA degree in Graphic Design and go to another school for Radiology. I'll probably get a job as a graphic designer at some company and go to school at the same time. So basically, I'll be using the skills I've learned as a Graphic Designer to help me get through school for Radiology. I'm planning to study all categories of Radiology. That includes MRI, CAT, and basic X-Ray. My dad only does X-Ray, but I'm planning to do all three.

That's basically my plan. I'll still be drawing for the rest of my life. There is no way I will put down my pencils after I graduate.

A private message would have been more appropriate.
