Fed Up!

Okay so I am fed up with my exhaust. I hate it it gets so whiney around 3000 rpm. it is almost like a popcorn popper on crack! I hate it is there anything I can do to make it shut the F$%K up? Maybe I should just go back to stock! Maybe it is because I have no cat? i have header and 2 1/4 inch all the way back if that makes a diff to anyone. Everyone I talk to says to put a resinator in.......

glasspack is like a intermediate muffler it's kind of like a chreey bomb
you would cut out a section of your exhaust pipeing a straight section and have that welded in it's place it will make it a little more quiet and maybe get rid of that popcorn sound you were talking about and they do not cost to much around 20 / 60 bucks depending on brand and quality

Toon, I almost garentee you thiat it is because you have no cat on your car, causing that sound. My friend had nothing but 2 1/4 pipping from the exaust manifold to the muffler canister on his 1991 Civic 4 door. The way you describe the sound remids me the way his exaust sounded. Like you, he got fed up with it too, and about a moth later, went back to the exaust shop and got a resinator put on. It sounded A LOT better. This is a pic of his car if that hepls any.

My old 73 MGBGT (RIP) had 2 glasspacks, one in the middle, and one near the back, and sounded deep as hell, I could set off car alarms so easily with it. It was loud but not unplesent.
