Exclamation front end noise

got front end noise!it sounded like a tire rubbing against the fender well.it does it when I turn left and right.I have changed the power steering pump but still have the noise.my husband says it sounds like it is metal to metal rubbing.I also have a popping noise when I go to break.please help me.my car is a 2000 alero with a 3.4 V6 and a rebuilt trannie!

Welcome to AF.

It would help to post your mileage.

One common problem for for front end noise when turning left or right is the upper strut mounts and load bearings.

I have to agree with that. Just one of many problems with the alero, but it is fixable! :-)
