Shifting
I own 97 prelude and i was wondering what some of u guys shift at
is it best to redline, or is there some other technique to get the best torque and stuff, but i usually shift at redline? is that the best way to go?

the power peaks at 7000rpms. however i would shift at or just after redline in order to stay within that VTEC range. if you shift too soon, the rpms will drop below th 5200 crossover point. the idea is to stay in the VTEC range. unless you have a VTEC controller where you can change that crossover point, i would say shift at redline or just past.

the prelude SI has a two stage intake manifold I believe, where secondary valves opens up at about 4200 RPM to increase fuel and/or air flow. I'm not some expert on this, and would actually like some more info on it, but I've heard about it. Shift at redline, stay in range.
