Fujimi Cobra

this is Fujimi's 427 cobra, I know some are gonna jump on me for trying to change a awesome cobra 427 but I wanted something different. since the hood and trunk both opened I decide to open the doors, it was smoothed and shaved everwhere. lowered with custom rims.

I also plan to put racing style seats but I think that would just push it over the edge.

Cool. There is not enough Cobra kits built. I am glad to see someone building one, and building it well. It's okay to give a custom touch on a nice kit, too, so don't worry about it. Great job.

It's a fairly new kit. From what I've seen and heard it's a major disappointment. The windshield frame is incredibly thick and out of scale, the engine detail is so simple it's laughable. Wheels and tires, nice set of four identical fronts, not bigs 'n littles like the real car. Real pretty boxart, very forgettable model. I don't know how Fujimi got away w/making this model and getting licensing for it, it's not good. Oh, I forgot, Carrol Shelby is a money whore now, doesn't really give a damn about cars any more, just hawking his name. Sad but true.

Folks, if you want a good Cobra 427 why not save a lot of money and get the Monogram/Revell kit? It is MILES ahead of the Fujimi kit. Okay, it has lousy front tires, but other than that it is a very good kit.

what zoom said is mostly correct. the tires looks terrible when matched with the finished chassis and body(one of the reasons I used different ones) the engine is'nt so bad, nothing better then the revell engines. the interor is simple, the chrome is not chrome but silver except for the windshield. the suspension detail is awesome, everything is one piece, eache suspension arm and axle.

I could'nt find any other kits of the cobra so I am happy with this one, if you wanna built a cobra I dont see a reason not to get this one. if you want to built a great kit you might want to look somewhere else, this one is too simple.

The Revell version of this is awesome, when I say the Revell version I mena the "King Cobra". It includes some nice sized meats for the back and has different manifold options. Only fitment that didn't work for my dad & I was the side pipes, but a little sanding got them there in the end.
