I recently had my oil changed and it was suggested that I get my engine flushed. I have 58k miles on my Accord EX. I have never heard of this and it is not mentioned in the maintenance schedule. Am I getting scammed? Any comments would be appreciated.

its a scam. i rarely take my car to get the oil changed unless i really don't have any time to do it. when they change ur oil, STAND NEXT TO THE CAR, and watch them. they are tryin to find every little thing wrong with ur car that they can make money off of. i've heard of ppl having parts broken or stolen by people changing oil an their cars ended up in pretty bad shape. if u take ur car to have ur oil changed, only have that done. sit there watch them work, an then when they change the oil, leave. don't get any of their "suggestions" because they are tryin to make u look like a fool who knows nothing about ur own car.
