Soda or Pop?

So which do you call it? Down here in Texas everyone calls it soda. Or Coke usually.
I myself prefer soda.:frog:

Pop. Soda is what my 90 year old grandfather called it.

Besides, pop is one syllable, which = easier to say.

And the north.

You're surrounded, because Pop > Soda

or there's always the combination of the 2, soda-pop...but that just takes too long to say.

i personally don't say either. pop makes you sound like a 3 year old and soda makes you sound like an 80 year old, so i generally try to call it by it's brand-name or if i don't know what brand name it is, then i call it by what category it is (cola, root beer, ginger ale, cream soda etc.)

Never thought about it, but that's what I do too. Although if I'm talking about the drinks in general, it's pop

It's pop. Soda is the flavorless carbonate that is added to the syrup to make it POP.

And the north-east according to tangie. Your all wierdos. You get made fun of here if you call it pop. Although one of my counterstrike names uses both, Soda-Popinksi. Anyone know who I'm talking about? The drunk Russian purple guy from Mike Tysons Punch Out for Nintendo?

Here in Hawaii it's called Soda. If you ever say "pop" at a resturant, they'll give you a weird foreign look and probably say "excuse me?"
