Uggh... not impressed (could not post direct link - scroll down to 'Suzuki Forenza & Verona' in 'Articles' section).

As per the article, I'd have expected more originality given Suzuki's heritage. Pity about the Daewoo connection.

As a long-time Suzuki car fan (and a true car enthusiast), I was looking forward to the introduction of the new models. I liked the Leganza, but it needed a better engine than that old GM unit. The Verona is a nice car, but the Daewoo-designed six-cylinder should be more powerful than it is. I haven't driven one yet, but I will reserve judgement until that time. I think it's a good attempt and something similar to what Suzuki needs to flush out its lineup.

In Canada, they are bringing out the Verona and Swift. Here's a link to the Suzuki Canada site. Just click on the link for the article "Suzuki Canada introduces two new cars, mid-size Verona and sub-compact Swift + - It's True!". The article is in pdf form so you'll need Acrobat Reader for it.

The "Suzuki Swift" to be sold in Canada will be offered in the United States as the Chevrolet Aveo.
