Finally

I finally bought my CAI. It should be in tomorrow. I was just wondering how long it takes to put in. It goes into the fenderwall.

yea, ur gonna wanna gun it a lot more too, cuz it sounds good. but take it easy so ya dont wear out the max. btw, after u cut the hole out, u should get a file and file down the sharp edges on the metal so that it doesnt rub and cut into the CAI. even with that lil flexible stuff they send to protect the CAI from that, ya never kno

Fellas. All of you missed one thing. He didnt say what kind of CAI. It might be Injen where he doesnt need to cut anything, NOR relocate. If it is something like Injen, then it will take you bro around 1 hour and 30 minutes maybe 2 hours tops. Unless you bought something different that needs to be dropped into the fender well. In this case you will definetly need to cut the inside of the fender to get to the colder air.

well he said [fender wall] i'm assuming place racing intake , it took me five hours because i didn't have any tools and i didnt know i'm gonna have to make a hole so, i took everything out no prop. then i look in the instruction and i find out that ihave to cut a hole so i put everything in the trunk and i started looking for somebody to give me a ride to home depot2 hours later i found a friend that let me borrow her car then i got a blade in the rush hour and i started cutting it was a b!!ch with the blades breakig and all that so my advice before u start go rent a drill and a very strong blade and start making holes near from each other and cut between them that will save u alot of time and it will take u about 2 hours,,,, once ur done u'll forget about all the pain and start revving the biatch

I know Im taking up space in this thread with words that are not related to here, but anyways I have those cheap xenon bulbs. Bought them from R.S. Strauss around one year ago for 32 dollars (both) I see visibility increase during dry weather, but when it rains I cant see anything. Going back to white bulbs soon. Sylvia made new bulbs. they are around 52 dollars with 10 dollar mail-in-rebate. my friend just got them and they are soooooo WHITE!!!! I see tramendous visibility increase on his car, and they are brighter then my xenon. Wattage is the same 55/100w

The Injen is not a CAI... Place Racing is the only true CAI. The Injen is located right behind the radiator and is actually sucking in warm air right off the radiator. How warm is the air coming off the radiator? Warm enough to evaporate 99% of the rain water that tries to get through into the engine compartment during a storm.

With that said... I have the Injen intake! hahahaha (yes, I knew the shortcomings of the Injen before buying) But I don't want to drill a hole in my car... I had the PRCAI in my 96 and it didn't take that long to install at all... Maybe 2 hours start to finish.. Most time is spent drilling the damn hole.

I just put my CAI in and It took about 2 hrs. It wasn't very hard to install at all. Of course, the first thing I did afterwards was drive it. I love the power and the sound.:sun:
