Glasses

I'm sure some people here must have glasses. I see 20/25 without mine (slightly worse than 20/20, but not much), but I see 20/15 with them on (even better than 20/20). But, being the son of an optometrist, I consider my glasses more art/fashion than functional (for me anyways). That's why I have glasses instead of contacts. Anyways, I have a Silhouette M7378:

They are completely rimless, have memory (bend them, and they'll return to their original state), have absolutely no screws or hinges, and are made from thin strips of titanium. They weigh a mere 6 grams with lenses!

Anyone else have "groovy" glasses?

Cool

I have glasses as well... Esprit frame with photocromatic lenses ( I think thats what theyre called - its when they tint depending on the amount of light - in the sunshine they go completely black while at night theyre only a little tinted). Also have another Esprit ones, they look kinda similar except they have permanent blue tint. I dont know how bad my sight is(20/30 or whatever), i can see without them fine, just not at long distances and driving it isnt very good without them:smoker2:

I have glasses. My vision is horrible. But with my glasses on I see 20/13. Mine are Brooks Brothers. They're nice, but standard (screws, hinges, etc...)

I had the entirely rimless frames about 4 years ago before they were all nice like Heep's... My frames held the lenses in with screws which fell out all the time, and the damn things never could keep in shape...
Since then, I've used contacts. My "back-up" glasses are from America's Best, and the ones I wear most often (when my eyes hurt too much from wearing my contacts nearly 24/7) are Cosmopolitan frames.
And last subject: my eyesight isn't so bad, but I have astigmatism in both eyes, and my prescription is almost entirely just for correcting it.

I have to wear a pair when driving (no comments thanks guys) as its part of the new licence tests you do now. You have to pass a eye test to re-new your old licence.
When you drive you are fined if you are caught without them on.

Mine are the rim-less type also.....i hate them...i look like a dork

I hate wear Glasses, They reduce all your peripheral vision, they get dirty, they look ugly....etc

Im a contact man!
(but I do wear a pair of glasses at home, but only because im lazy. The Brand name wore off them a long time ago, and there to weak for to wear any where else.)

And PMan, I should have an endorsment on my license but when I got my HT they scrwed up and didnt put it on!!!

Me too.

As for glasses being ugly...I actually prefer the way I look with them on then without...they enhance my image, IMO. Get lots of compliments too.
