Lightbulb Ground Control Coilovers or Eibach springs

Who out there has used Ground Controls coilover or Eibach springs? I have been looking to change my Progress springs and save those for the track. I guess I am looking for something more street-able. Do Ground Controls count or should I go with an Eibach Sportline or Prokit setup? Just so darn tired of hitting my head on the roof going over railroad tracks.

Thanks all.

Well, Ground Control coilovers use Eibach Springs, so the comfort is gonna be the same, if you get Eibach Prokit, you will get a 1" drop all around, and the Sportlines say 1.7" but they settle to like 2.5"...... If you want to adjust them, just get the Ground Control's!!

are u sure??

Can Somebody Please Verify What Ali Said About The Comfort Being The Same. Hey Ali Im Not Saying Your Wrong, But I Have Heard That Eibach Is The Best, And I Have Also Heard That Coilovers Suck Ass, So The Statement You Made Doesnt Make Sense To Me. The Reason Im Asking Is I Want Coilovers (becase of winter), But I Dont Want A Horrible Ride, So I Bought Eibach Springs (prokit), But If The Coilovers Provide The Same Ride Quality Then I Want The Ground Controls.

LET ME KNOW

Most definately my first drop was done with Gin coilovers I had a two inch drop same as I have now but the ride quality was horrible. Do the ground control coilovers run the same progressive spring rate as the Prokit or Sportline springs?

Coilovers do not Suck, because i have a friend at school with Skunk2 Coilovers and they ride even better than my Sportlines! and he has the same Shocks as me, so just something to think about........ Coilovers DO NOT suck, and the GC Coilovers are #2 after the Skunk2, if you want the best ride, get the True Tien SS Coilover system, which is the best ride! I know cause my friend has em on his CL-TypeS, but prepare to pay a prettty penny.... They actually have em for our cars and its 1000 bucks free shipping at www.machiii.com and it includes the shocks also!!

I just got a set of Skunk2 coilovers (used with Koni yellows) and could not be happier. The roads in New Brunswick are quite scary and they handle them well. I was running Progress's that settled to a 2.75" drop and rode really bad on the roads around here, and the Skunk2's are sooo much better.

I know this thread is old but where can I find the same eibach springs that come on the Ground conrtol coil overs. I have the sleeves from arospeed but only need those exact springs from the ground control coilovers.

Re: Ground Control Coilovers or Eibach springs

I like coilovers for the fact of the adjustability because i don't want to be stuck with something that I think settles too high or too low. Also if try PM'ing jackasssi...he is very knowledgeable with suspensions. If I had the money I would get the Tein SS coilover system...but I dont.

http://www.ground-control.com/ - simple

Coilover sleeves and/or lowering springs on stock shocks is not recommended. AGX does not recommend sleeves. If you go with sleeves, there is only one route = Ground Control & Koni yellows.

I would never recommend Eibach sportlines, never heard anything good - Pro kit is decent. Don't forget about Neuspeed & H&R.

Springs / coilover sleeves are only 50% you still need to upgrade struts. This is why true coilovers are nice, both spring/strut is included matched ready to go. They may not be the cheapest but are definately far superior in quality. No one ever said a good suspension set-up is cheap. If you don't have the money, don't do it! Go buy some goofy lights or seatbelt covers.

H&R sports..they ride pretty nice and imo were better than the pro kit i had. The only prob with regular lowering springs my front always seems a 1/4''-1/2'' higher...I decided to run my H&R sports in the rear with skunk 2 coilovers in front with the skunk 2's "rear civic kit" springs(doesnt matter its just a softer spring rate they all fit the same) in front droped all the way with a 1/4'' to lower on the threads. So far I have expierience good handling...no understeer or oversteer...its liek its on rails.

Re: Ground Control Coilovers or Eibach springs

I want Neuspeed Race as soon as I can find a different car that doesn't have to be driven all winter.
