how do I run the foglights and hibeams at the same time?

I have an '01 Blazer Xtreme and when I flick on the highbeams, the foglights go out. How do I keep the fogs from going out like that?

I know GM is required to do that but sometimes, you just need all the light you can get, especially with those weak factory bulbs.

.

Eh I don't really know.

There is a switch so you can turn on the foglights during the day time. Its to the left of the steering wheel, its a circular knob like the ones for your air conditioning. The arrow on the knob should be pointing to the left, flip it so the arrow is pointing straight up.

There is another button right below it. Its more of a rectangular shape, press that to turn on your foglights. Now try putting the high beams on and see if that works. Thats all I could think of.

somewhere there is a relay being used to kill the foglights when the high beams are turned on, im just not sure which one it is.

my 95 didnt come with foglights, but part of the harness was in the dash. i used a meter to determine what wire did what and made my own relay board to use with the factory switch.

i have mine wired so that the foglights will turn off with the high beams, but i also wired in an override switch. all i have to do is flip the switch and the foglights are on with the highbeams.

i did this incase it was ever checked in an inspection, or if i passed a cop that wanted to be an ass....
