should the UN help with the restoration and oversee the running of Iraq after the war?

Seeing as they still don't want anything to do with it does anyone thing that Tony Blair is straying down the garden path? Would they let Saddam back into power in Iraq? Should opponents of the war be allowed any contracts to do with its restoration?

The U.N. should take over complete authority for restoring Iraq to a free state.If the Iraqis choose to run a western style election and develop a democratic nation,that's up to them.The very worst thing that could happen to Iraq is a prolonged Vietnam-type occupation.

It is stupid to suggest that the U.N. would hand Iraq back to Saddam,almost as stupid as thinking that Bush had any moral or legal right to invade.If Bush is left in charge of Iraq's future,the contracts to rebuild what American bombs have shattered will inevitably go to approved sources only.That's how corrupt this whole war is.

I do not feel the UN should have any authority not granted to it by the coalition. Since the Coalition is footing this bill to remove Saddam we should make all decisions.
