muffler came out of exhaust piping..

hey all, i was fuckin around an unplowed parking lot (closed kmart..heh) in my 93civic dx, so anyways there is sum deep so, and suddenly my exhaust sound changed drastically, my muffler came free from the piping. its still on the hangers and i put the piping back in it, but it is lose. is it supposed to be welded shut? im guessin thats the case, how much will it cost? or is there anyway i can keep it together, a cheap way out (glue?) cos im poor. also, is there umm, low profile mufflers or sumthing, or any way i can keep the muffler from being hit with snow while driving in it?

heres a pic of where it came out

Shouldn't cost all that much to get it welded, just make an appointment at some muffler place and tell them what the problem is. They might have a way to get you muffler a little higher for the snow too. I'm guessing your car is lowered?

its not, its stock, the snow was pretty deep tho, deep enuff to bottom out my car, and hard cos its an unused parking lot, with potholes, heh, i treat my car like shit . anyways it seems to be fine without being welded, ill just be nice to the car... im thinking about doin sum mods for autox'ing so ill repair it then.

A muffler shop would charge you no more than 50 bucks. OF course every 4/5 shops are fucking pricks so they will try to rip u off and tell u 80, just laugh in their face and leave if they do.

That looks like a stock muffler. If it is why pay to fix it? Just go get a performance aftermarket one!!!
