Swap Question a Lil Off
George I'll figure your the man - SR20 Forum only got one response and the mailing list is acting up on me... sooooo
Picked up my 93 NX this weekend - LOVE it.... drive great - but I think I wanna stick my DET into it (thank god the mounts never showed up or it'd be in my 200sx lol) Anyways here is my question. I have a '97 JWT ECU w/Turbo program already I have an engine harness + sensors Soooo can I use this in my NX? Haven't compared sensors and such yet but one guy said I couldn't - I don't see why not other than maybe the harnesses inside the car needing to be reworked...... Thanks Chris BTW - what are the major differences in the 91-93 engines and the 95+?

First, it would be a hell of a lot easier to find someone installing a DET in a 95-97 and sell them your ECU and get your new one changed. I think you could do it, but I wouldn't have much of an idea how off the top of my head and I don't have time to do the research. So, good luck. ![]() As for the differences, the major ones are the head and intake manifold designs. The cams are different too. Oh, and of course most half of the electrical connectors are in different places.
