So the only 92-96 Prelude that came with an H22 was the Prelude Vtec?. Was there an SH 92-96 prelude? If so, what motor did that come with? And also is there a Type S or am I just retarded? How about you guys just tell me a whole bunch of random stuff about Preludes now, I'm really interested in getting one and I like to know a bunch about a car before i buy it. Thanks! So the only 92-96 Prelude that came with an H22 was the Prelude Vtec?

theres 5 models for the prelude prelude s - 135 hp prelude si - 160 hp prelude se (special edition) - 160 hp SE's are just a Vtec body with an H23 motor in it( as far as options are concerned, like leather, rims, wing, etc) prelude vtec - 190 hp (the 1993 model is called the si-vtec) and yes, the only 4 gen preludes that came with vtec were the vtec models 93-96 about the prelude type-s, it was only sold in japan so expect a really hard or impossible time trying to find one out there. might as well get a high mileage prelude si and drop in a type s engine if u want, the engine might be hard to find also. i own a 95 lude si myself so i know more about 4th then 5th gens, heres a link for all the differences in the 4th gens http://www.hpoa.org/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=3677 |

what to do, what to do
I'm in the market for a 94 or 95 prelude. Which I prefer the 95 because of the OBDI but i want to run a turbo if i get the car. So should i get the H22 vtec and boost it, or get the H23 non-vtec and boost it. From what I've heard boost a vtec is bad ju-ju. But boost a H23 will not have the all out power if the vtec. What should i look for?

Re: Which model Preludes come with the h22 or h23?
its all in the tuning. theres a lot of arguement over which engine is better to boost but the non-vtec is much easier to boost and has lower compression and some of the fastest ludes are turboed h23's.
