For each turn, you get three rolls of the dice (5 die in all), and you can seperate out the ones that you want to keep and re-roll the others... the object for each turn is to end up with a specific "hand" (like a poker hand), hence the "four of a kind", "three of a kind", "Full house", etc. A four of a kind is 4 die of equal value, so four 3's or four 6's, etc. A full house would be 3 die of equal value, and the other 2 die are of equal value, for example three 2's and two 4's... At the end of each turn, you decide where you want to score the points, for instance, if you have four 5's, you can either count that as your "fives" for 20 points, or you can count it as a "four of a kind"... A yahtzee is when, at the end of your turn, all 5 die are of equal value. Ex: five 4's, and it's worth 50 points for the first Yahtzee, and 100 points for each yahtzee after that. Anyways, it's a cool game... Oh, and incidentally Dustin... not to burst your bubble, but I have a yahtzee scorecard hanging on my fridge with a score of 425 so

Try playing the version I play...
The highest score you can get is 304 points. that's 1: 1x5= 5 2: 2x5=10 3: 3x5=15 4: 4x5=20 5: 5x5=25 6: 6x5=30 Four/Kind: 6+6+6+6+6=36 Full house: 6+6+6+5+5= 28 (this game won't let you go three sixes and two sixes) small straight: 25 Large Straight: 30 Yacht: 50 Chance: 30 highest. you don't get a bonus for getting a certain amount on the numerals section. I'm still owning :-D:finger:

The time I got that score I got 3 yahtzees and the second two counted for my 5s and 6s. You get bonus 100 for every extra yahtzee. Then my chance was all 5 and 6s. (First Yahtzee was 1s!!)

Wow, that IS old school Yachtzee.
but this one has a score cap on it...if you get a second yachtzee, it's pretty much worthless. It's pretty aggravating to roll five sixes and use that, then to roll five ones the next turn. *sigh*
