Question Not sure

Which is better, racing straight pipe or high-flow cat? I haven't been able to figure out which is better.

the strait pipe, but its pretty much illegal everywhere because of emissions laws

yeah but you can get a catalytic convertor casing and just mount it over a sraight pipe. as long as you don't get emissions tested you'll be alright. they just look to see if there is a catalytic convertor around here. This one guy at V&V auto told me he'd do it for $75 all i needed to get was the pipe, but i think it would sound shitty

High flow cat will give you maybe 1-2hp if that and it will make your car louder as 97 stated, not really certain about the gains of the straight pipe if any but if it were me, I'd go with the straight pipe especially if you have to worry about emission standards where you are from.

Here in South Carolina they aint big on emission standards. I've lived here my whole life and never heard any stuff about it.

hay i got a staight pipe i could feel some extra power may be 4 -8hp but its not all that loud i can bearly tell its there hope this helps

i jus moved down here to GA from WV and i kno that the strait pipe is illegal everywhere jus because its shooting strait exhaust fumes out of the engine, the cat suppositively collects certain emissions? i think they jus full of shit personally
