Help

Hey everyone, I have a 97 Pontiac Firebird, it has a V6 engine and I've been saving money up for quite sometime now and have over 3k to put some mods on my car. Will anyone care to tell me some really good performance mods to put on my car. I've been tryin to find some websites that sell products, only good site i found was RKSport.com, they have some good products but i'm wondering if any of you here know some other places that might have some cheaper prices, especially on that SuperCharger. Well anyways, feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you.

hey man, a supercharger would be the best way to go. Try checking out SLP Performance Engineering. www.slpeng.com i think thats what it is. If they're prices arent good enough go out and buy a copy of high performance pontiac magazine and check out the adds in there.

As for mods other than a supercharger, a k&n FIPK system is golden, if you have an automatic tranny maybe a shift kit, headers, chip, there are so many posibilites.
Even a fuel injected crate motor!

Question Modding a V6?????

I don't wanna be negative here, but if I were you I wouldn't put 3k into a v6. Put it toward a Formula or a Trans Am that will be faster than your supercharged V6 right outta the box. Besides yur gonna need more than 3k for a supercharger, plus all the mods you'll have to do to handle the pwr. I had a V6 and thought about modding it and this is whatever one told me to do. Save up and get yourself a V8. That's what I did and I guarantee you won't be dissappointed.

I agree, sell it and combine the money you saved and get a V8.

Hey, I have a 96 Formula, which having the V8 is cool... BUT, there's nothing wrong with modifying a V6, personally I don't see enough of that out there. Definately check out SLP they have a ton of mods for your V6. You might also want to look into getting a Power Chip, too. Good Luck!!!!

Ill say it so it's easier to read through, because some people put too much in when getting to the point:

Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah V8 Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah V8

there, I have said what is needed of me.
