driving room in a prelude?

my question is hows the driving space in a prelude? like im a big guy and i dont wanna get squished or something. I was in one about a year ago but i forgot how it was. I am about 6 ft 230lbs. Im asking because preludes are like my favorite cars and i really wanna get one but my friend said i should get an explorer or something. Right now i drive the family cars(2002 plymouth neon and 2002 chevy cavalier) How is it comparable to these cars?

sorry to dissapoint u but the preludes are pretty small. ill only talk about 4th gen cuz thats what i have (92-96), you got alot of drivers space i think, unless u got more then 2 people. the back seats are very very space limited so u might wanna check that out. no foot room in the back unless the front seats are very high up. its more like a 2 seater car.

i agree. the prelude will be a tight fit for you compared to those cars you mentioned. the back seats in preludes and cars like it are merely there for insurance purposes, IMHO.

I have had several guys that are 6ft and above drive my car. The driving room is fine unless you put more than three people in the car. With a person behind the driver, you lose all kinds of room.

Like the others said already you should have enough room in the front unless you have got passengers in the back.

@ParisAngelus: Nice avatar!!

I'm 6' 3" no problem driving my 95 lude... but anymore than 2 people it gets uncomfortable unless the person in the back sits on one side and puts their feet on the other side

Your height is not a problem, unless you are tall from the waist up. As others will point out-it is the rest of the size equation that can be an issue here. The way I'm positioned (5'11" & 150lbs), the steering wheel is about 1-1/2" away from my thighs. Do yourself a favor and find a Prelude and try sitting in it. You will know if you fit properly if the seat back is not tilted. Good luck

Space in the lude's

I have a 93 and I am 6' 180 and I fit fine. I have a friend who is 6'2" and 230 and he loves to drive my car. So I think you would be fine in the 92 and newer models.
