Skyline vs Diablo

I would agree that a modified Skyline would have its best chances at winning a race with a 2WD, but unlikely a VT. I would also wager to say that a proper driver, even in a 2WD would still successfully pull a modified Skyline.

I have witnessed Diablo owners and test drivers alike that have no clue how to properly launch the car and result in little more than a lot of noise, clutch smoke, and maybe tire smoke. The proper exit is breathtaking and does not abuse the clutch, with little or no tire smoke.

I am reasonable to expect that there are highly modified Skylines that could possibly take even a properly launched Diablo, but that seems a bit pointless, in that the Skyline is modified to the hilt and the Diablo bone stock.

There are several very effective mods that can be done to the Diablo to increase the horsepower with very little investment. Mods that I would recommend any owner perform to their car.

And of course, the McLaren F1. Anywhere worldwide.

I agree . . .

I agree with XOtech, the comparision is pointless and one that will never quit. If the Skyline has $XXXX.XX in mods than what is the point. Sure a modified Skyline can beat a Diablo. It would be tough for any car in the world to out pace a Skyline with 700, 800, 1000bhp, and many of them make that type of power for relatively obtainable amounts of money.

Look it is a waisted comparison that never fails to prove my point. We could be comparing a Saturn V rocket to the Space Shuttle and someone will without a doubt chime in with how fast and how much BHP their SUPRA or Skyline has. I say who cares. I love exotics for just that reason, they are exotic, engineering marvels. I also love horsepower and a good blast down the freeway, but that does not mean that I am going run every kid that pulls up next to me with a Supra. If you want to play witht he kids than why not just buy a used Supra drop 15K into it and have a blast. Makes tons more sense than running up and down the street in 300k Lambo??????

well this maybe a bit OT now. (maybe for them who don´t like lamborghinis )

if you drive to the next city and park both cars next to each other... where do you think the people would stand?

next to a riced out 1000 hp skyline

or next to a beautiful italian style lamborghini diablo`?

I agree with Menu

I agree with you 1000%. That is why I would always go for the Lambo regardless of what the Skyline put out.

why are you then here in the lambo and not nissan forum?
you probably cannot convince us italian supercar fans to prefer a skyline of a diablo.
i should move that post in nissan forum...
