Looking at a corolla

Hey, on a car lot I found a 1990 Toyota Corolla GT-S. I have a few questions about it.

1. It says GT-S Twin Cam 16 Valve on the side, but on the back it says GT-S and SR5, which model is it?

2. Is it one of the models with RWD?

3. What is the horsepower/torque?

4. Any common problems I should look for when I test drive it tomorrow?

Thanks in advance

1. The only way to be sure is to check the VIN number on the dashboard, that will tell you what exact model

2. Any model of Corolla past 1987 is Front Wheel Drive

3. The Horsepower and Torque depend on the engine, could be blue top or red top

4. I'm not really familiar with AE92's, as I own an AE86 but you might want to check Club 4AG and ask under tech reference and i'm sure they can help you out with any problems, they are a really helpful bunch of people over on that board.

I hope that helps

Ok, just got back from test driving the corolla. Says SR5 on the back, GT-S Twin Cam 16 valve on the side on the driver's door. The engine says something like 16 valve EFI. Also found AE92 3327764 inside the engine bay. I think the AE92 is the engine code, not sure about the 3327764 though. If anyone can help me determine if it is an SR5 or GT-S i'd greatly appreciate it. I'm hoping it is the GT-S because I think that is the more powerful one

Thanks in advance

One more thing. When you say Bluetop/Redtop do you mean the color of the print on the engine? Cause it said 16 valve EFI in red.

Just thought i'd update anyone who reads this. I didn't get the Corolla, it was nice and all, but it just wasn't me. Although, I did recommend my friend go and test drive it, he fell in love with it and bought it Funny how that worked out. I'm still looking for a car, probably a Toyota.

I will say that my '89 SR5 (4AG) is very reliable.. I pounded the eff outta that car when we had 2-3ft of snow here in PA.. Gettin outta drive-way was a biotch and that car handled it nicely.. rev'in to 6K RPM in D then letting off gas, throwing it into reverse and rev'n it again to 6K .. then off gas and back into Drive.. Very nice car indeed.
