vibrant

has anyone ever heard of vibrant performance? i went to an auto performance shop today, and the salesman told me the Vibrant cat-back is a better buy than a HKS Sport.

i might buy one cause my honda exhaust is totally done for.

That took all of two seconds on google. I've never heard of them before though, shit looks pretty good though. Man don't listen to that crap, performance exhaust is pretty much all the same, actually I think pacesetter's pretty damn good. Before you flame me for that let me explain. Have you ever cut open a pacesetter muffler? It's just a hollow chamber, with two flat pieces of metal dividing it into 3 sections, these piceces of metal have like 2 inch holes cut in them, like four holes in each one, that's not very restrictive folks, straight through mufflers may be a little bit better but it's not much. Plus the chamber style mufflers create a deep note and are quiet at idle.

Anyway that's just my .02. If you think you'll own the car long enough to need stainless steel exhaust then go ahead and get it. That vibrant stuff does look pretty good though if you're willing to pay/waste that much money. BTW if anyone out there does buy pacesetter then go ahea and pick out a tip that you like and weld it on or have it welded on because the one that comes with it is horrible.

Ractive :sun: this is what the muffler and tip looks like has a great sound to it too! the kid who had the car b4 me only put on the muffler and tip, didnt do a full exhaust job. said it cost him a few hundered for the muffler setup tho. i find its great quality tho. i havent found anything wrong with it and he's had it on the car for a couple years now
Ractive is done by Toucan Industries also. heres a link to their site if u wanna check it out.

are you sure ractive is vibrant? i just sent vibrant an email to find out for sure...
the muffler that he showed me was much different than that picture.. it looked like a stock muffler, but stainless and a large tip

he didnt really say that it "performed" better than HKS, rather that it was a smart choice to buy. he gave me a price of $675 cdn.

and you obvisouly don't live where you get feet upon feet of snow... where from mid november till march the roads tend to be white with salt, i've had an exhaust rot out in less than a year a few years back... its no fun to keep replacing them

here is the reply i got from Vibrant Performance.. you be the judge.

Good Morning,

Wow, this is a very strange question. I have never been asked this
one before.

Vibrant Performance (a division of Vibrant Power Inc.) is not at all
affiliated with Toucan Industries (the parent company of Ractive). It
would be more accurate to say that the Ractive line of products is one
of many competitors of ours. We sell to many of the same distributors
and dealers throughout North America.

I am really curious to know who is telling people that we are
affiliated
to Ractive. If you can shed some light on this, I would really
appreciate it.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Best Regards,

Dino Rossi (Jr.)
