Unhappy being towed!!!

OK I don't know if I would be the only one acting weird about this but to me this is tramatic. My car the 2001 civic had to be towed. Your not suppose to see a honda towed. Well I did get the car back quick. I just needed new battery, the other one failed there little test so now I got me a brand spanking new battery.

So thank you for listening to my tramtic story and no laughing it there are ford drivers out there.

You know I also have a technical question to go along with this. The car is just two years old. Why would the batterry drain that quick even with those new self maitnence ones. any suggestions?

are you running like a crazy stereo, neons, and all that other shit on your ride? cuz it couldve just drained.

also do you leave your ACC on for extended amounts of time?

if it was like a week old then id say ur alt was shot too, but if it lasted two years there's no chance the battery could last that long w/o alternator.

all I have in it is. One set of neons, that is powered by cig. lighter, and the wipers lights. I know before the lights and everything my car did just die out of the wild blue.

My luck i got a defective alternater.

oh when i tried starting it it was a weak start so i shut it off waiting a little bit then tried again and it wouldn't start made this ticking noise. then when hubby tried it winded down like there was nothing to it. Thanks for the info!!! Christy(thats me)

Biiig mistake, if your battery made a weak start, but still made it, ure lucky. In those cases youre supposed to leave the car running for a while, maybe even rev it if ure on one spot so it charges the batery up a little.

Well i'll tell u my story and it probably will make u feel much better. It happened yesterday, my battery has been acting up lately but i didnt think its completely shot. Well i called up AAA they boosted my no problem, i thought the battery would charge up. I had to go to wal mart for something first and then i was gonna go to autozone and get my system checked. Well tuff luck, when i come back to my car it didnt even have one drop of juice in the battery. I asked some guy to boost me but we waited for like 10 mins out in the cold and it didnt start up, the battery couldnt take a charge. So i call up AAA again, wait another 40 mins and they boosted me. (they attack some battery pack that doesnt charge your battery, it directly starts your engine). In the mean time i had checked, they had every otehr kind BUT my batery, so i had to go to the other end of town to a 24/7 autozone to get a new battery.
So yeah, thats what happened to my good ol 94 civ. yesterday, didnt get towed but close....

Feel better now ?

yeah thats said. I know I could of been jump started but they told me just to leave it and be towed. This happen before and i was jumped and ithe car had live for about a month before it did it to me again. If it drains again i think it might fbe the alternater. And the funny thing is I didnt have to pay for a red cent. I love my warrantee.lol well got to go talk later thanks guys

i can beat that, was driving to work on a road they had torn up and were repaving in patches. I hit something in the road, and a mile later learned i had gotten a flat. pulled into the first station i found and got out to look at it. turned the car off and went to start fixing it but i had no jack because of a really bad rattle from the trunk i had fixed. went to start it and damn thing wouldnt start. had gotten a new battery 6 months before. so there went my car with a dead battery and flat tire on a tow truck. got a free battery and tow after yelling at the dealer.
