Why won't Tamiya release newer JGTC cars! :(

I always wanted some JGTC cars, but i'm not reading to plunker so much down for a Studio 27 kit! Why won't tamiya release me some nice JGTC cars.

I think Tamiya's kinda lost it..... the quality's still there but the ever-diminishing audience has led them to release fewer and fewer models each year....

Oh well, can't have everything in life...

Fujimi planned on releasing the Amemiya Racing FD3S but cancelled it.
Maybe they realized how much new tooling is needed (wide body and all).

Guess you wont be seeing it anytime soon in the future...

They might be, won't knwo until they post pics from the show in Germany. Some of the other reasons, licencing issues...working on getting them or they cost too much.

I wish they would make some kits from all the main touring car series, but if they made one of the Cusco Impreza that would be awesome....maybe we need to start e-mailing them

It's a shame... JGTC cars have some of the wildest decals around.

Well, Ray don't think that is such an effective way to put some pressure on, I am sure they receive tons of such e-mail demanding model X.

I guess that Tamiya has a licencing department, where they do marketing researches about wich model wil sell well and which not.

But anyways, maybe if we all sent an e-mail to ask for the same car, there is a slight chance . Compare it to Amnesty International

If we (the whole scale modeling forum) would each send one , or maybe a kind of petition, they might just consider it ?

I guess we are about what, 500 modelers here? we could each ask about 5 persons to do the same???

I mean, it's just an e-mail, it is not going to cost you anything...

If you don't try, you don't know....

SO....

:sun: :sun: AF Massive Mail Operation has launched !!! Who's with me ??? :sun: :sun:

things to do ; - get e-mail address
- a copyable letter/e-mail
- support !

what do you guys think??

Maybe, just maybe, we need to buy more stuff from them, , so that they have more income and can invest in more new kits. If we all bought all their stuff and that still isn't enough, we then have to pursuade all youngsters to scrap their X-Box's and PS2 and start doing modeling - we had this conversation before - so it comes down, as always, to resources. I can honestly say that I'm contributing to that. If I have to build all my models that I still have a home - waiting to be build - and finish 5 models a year, it'll take me 17 years before all is finished and I'm still buying new stuff.

Anyways, my message is one of, model what they make and then they might make what we want to model.

Guido
ps. But there's nothing wrong with dreaming of course!!
