Cars and the Question why didn't Tamiya made them

post your example of great cars ,released by other companies but never by Tamiya and think about why they didn't release it

my first one,the new Honda Civic Type-R



my most favorite compact sports car,not done by tamiya,only by fujimi in quite a poor qualityi want thise car authentic!

man i would love to see a JDM ITR from tamiya, the fujmi ones lack so much detail and if tamiya releases one i bet they would seel them like crazy

I would like to see Tamiya release Mazda RX-8 and Honda New NSX-R, but too bad....
Tamiya himself only make cars that he like it, if not...it will never happen. But this time I think they really spend too much $$$ on the Enzo, and not much $$$ to get Honda, Subaru and Mazda cars... but aleast something will be release soon by Tamiya.

The car that I have no idea why Tamiya are not releasing is the 550/575M. They do have Ferrari license, so might as well.

It's not terrible, you have to do a lot of work to the body and the instructions require more than just my engineering degree to follow them.....I guess it depends on how much time and effort you are putting in?

The RX8!! Crossing my fingers that they will release this rather than Fujimi. Tamiya can make very details of front and back headlamps for this RX8, not Fujimi!! :huh: Then the car list which bothers about me are: If they had already produced these... why can't produced the latest??

......... too many to list..... they are almost similar... but no available in releasing... Wonder did they over buget in doing their Enzo?? This year 2003 seems, not many cars releasing. But surprisingly Fujimi a lot.

kinda off topic but does neone have maybe a ballpark price of what it cost just to make/design and get one model on the shelves?(not literally one, but u get it) im sure it depends on the car and manufacture. like a civic would be much cheaper to make and desgin then a enzo would.
