I'm assuming you do know about Motorex already right? I would love some competition down there in LA to drive those prices down. But by your post I'm not gonna be getting too excited. It seems if you really were interested, you would know that it's probably gonna cost you at least a million bucks to get started. But if this really is something you're gonna do, I'll be sure to stop on by my next time down south!

Yep. I sure am a distributor. Every night when I goto sleep, but damn that alarm clock!! The reason I got that $1M quote was becuase motorex supposedly wants $1.5M for all their goods. That would buy you in the skyline selling business with someone else doing the work for you. If you wanted to do it on your own, it might cost less, but of course you'll have all the headaches and problems. Although, if you had the money, it would be a fun process to go through. I think $15M is way over the top. Hell, you could sell these things out of your garage, you don't even need a dealership lot. We want these things so bad, who cares where we get them from as long as they're legit. So for sure if you had $2M you could buy the info from motorex, become a registered importer, and have a nice assortment of cars to get yourself started. Oh, and can I have a job? I think you already know what my price would be! :sun: Nah, I'd just settle for a really good loan on one! Hope that helps.

If you have a million you can do it, easily.

Unlike some unrealistic post of it costing $15,000,000. Oh, I forgot he knows everything. dp, The King of Skyline information. The Jack of all trades and master of none. Sarcasm it rocks.

Anyway,

I have done some research, and my wife is a laywer that would be willing to help if need be. Send me an e-mail.

Hey, dieselpower, if you knew anything about math, you'd know that 50 top-of-the-line 2001 JDM Spec-M Skylines would cost no more than US$2.6million and I'm overestimating shipping and conversion costs. Even posting a 100% bond on all the cars including shipping would be less than $5 million. Do the conversion from Japanese Yen to US$ for the GT-Rs. Jeez, BUYING MOTOREX AND GETTING 50 CARS AND POSTING A BOND WOULD BE WAY LESS THAN US$10MILLION. They sell for US$45-50K in their home market. Hell, buying such a large order would likely entitle one to a huge discount and would result in a much lower price than that. I'm sure the info and everything else could easily be gained for less than US$1million, although as super 96 accord said, it would include a ton of headaches . Hopefully a millionaire fanatic will recognize this and take a chance. Also, most of the cars at Motorex are either the owner's or customer cars.

Where are people getting these numbers from? You all are kidding me right? 15 million? WTF

Even the 1 mil is a bit high, but probably a good estimate all told, including labor and startup costs for the company.

Guys, you do know how to bond a car correct? You don't post the bond, the RI posts the bond, and you pay a percentage of it.

Reasonably, I can see the whole process completed for 500K.

If you all would like to know more about it, send me an email. It isn't hard, just time consuming.

By the way dp,

Supply is product. Economics is based on supply and demand. Keep at it, you might get something right, but I kind of doubt it.

First I will refer you to Websters - you can buy a nice desktop dictionary for about $20 USD. Once you learn to spell half decent - talk to me about business matters.

Everything else, I will just let you live in dreamland.
