Question Addicted to Chapstick

anyone else addicted to chapstick? I have been using for as long as I can remember. It started when I was young and lived back east and use to ride motorcycles in the winter time. Now that i'm in the desert i have not been able to quit using it. I don't even have chapped lips, but if I try to quit my lips start to burn after about a day. Do you think the makers are putting something in it. Or is it just me. I typed chap stick addiction in on the SE and couldn't believe how much there was about it.

I am

I've switched over to beeswax/ lanolin based chapsticks though 'cause patrolium based ones just make your lips worse as it wears off.

Lol, I'm not, and never really thought about it...but now that I am thinking about it I know all sorts of people that use it all the time even if their lips aren't chapped. One uses that tube vasaline, others use actual Chapstick or that Lip Conditioner stuff

The back of my hands got chapped once so I used that stuff, burned like a mofo

Yeah, I like the Cherry flavored stuff, always great for a snack.

Hey, wait, um. . . . . .

Really though, I don't use the stuff.

I am! I get the flavored kind and have tubes in the car, in my purse, at work, next to the computer, etc. But then again the relative humidity hovers around 0 here so everyone is either addicted to chapstick, or they have gross flaky lips.

I use it a fair bit. Usuallt if really dry at home, in winter/colder other months or when skiing
If I ever need some, there seems to be a never ending supply in my ski pants.

Never used the stuff before I lived here because you didn't need it in Hawaii. Blessed moisture. But since Utah is dry as a mofo I use it all the time.

I'm all about that Blitex "Silk and Shine" lip balm. Seems to do a really nice job without being all flavored so you lick it off. I forgot it out on the slopes one single day this past week, and the wind burn hasn't gone away yet. :o I'm off to go apply some serious medicated balm now.

I have a tube in my car, only think to use it if my lips are actually chapped. I procrastinate a lot of shit, like getting stuff for acne, and shit like that, maybe I should take better care of my health.

Did anyone else ever suffer from the delusion that acne would go away after you became an adult? I did... I always figured that zits were just part of puberty, and only in rare cases would still occur in fully matured adults. Fortunately, I've never had much of an acne problem, but it was still a shock to learn that it never really goes away.
