Feedback on '87 GT ??

Hello all. I will be the new owner of an '87 GT soon enough. This being my second venture into the world of Celica's.........my first was a '78 Celica GT about 15 yrs ago, I am hoping I could get some insight and feedback on what to expect and what is worthwhile doing to this car?? I am VERY into modding and knowledgeable with small FD vehicles (mostly VW watercooled) and now look to broaden my horizons. I'd appreciate some everyday driving insight and also anyone who may lead me to modding sites or just some sites where I can research what other cars/models and whatnot are compatible with the '87 as far as upgrading and replacing.........TIA.

I own an '87 GT-S...I like it, but am not able to drive it much, except down our dirt road....lost my license until april....Celica Chick told me that a 93-95 Honda Accord body kit will fit on the car, just have to have it customized...do a little chopping here and there...I haven't been able to find many performance parts...but will never give up looking...have fun with the new car, and if you find anything let me know and i will do the same....i just got mine about 2 months ago for $600...and so far so good
