Lightbulb clear tail lights

For some reason my 325is has the same problem. The only thing i can figure is that the new lights had a looser connection than the factory lights, and if the connection is looser and you hit a bump and the circuit is broken, the computer detects this and the tail light out message will stay on until the car is turned off.
