90 Sedan... What Engines Will Fit???

I was considering buying a 90 LX Sedan w/ no motor for $500... clean in and out. I wanted to know what options I have for a motor swap. No B16, I have a hatch w/ one already. I was thinking ZC, 92-95 SOHC VTEC, or 88-91 Si motor... what do you think would be the most practical?

I'd do either ZC or SOHC VTEC. Probably just do ZC cuz its much easier and makes the same power as the SOHC VTEC does without even needing VTEC.

even though it makes the same HP, Vtec is always nice, even though on a SOHC VTEC motor, it doesnt kick in that hard, you can feel it, but not mindboggoling (SP?) or anything..... Unless you work it! Cause my friend has new internals in his y8 and has a chipped p28 on it and vtec kicks in and you can fell that mother fuker!

You will need to convert your existing harness to mpfi. There are a bunch of articles on the net detailing how to do this. Yes the motor mounts are the same as the stock d series mounts.

I'd rather get the sohc v-tec over zc. It has more aftermarket parts for it!

I'd definately go for the SOHC Vtec, D16Z6 or D16Y8, put a EX tranny on it and you'd have one sweet machine... I know my CRX will be when I rebuild a Z6 and my EX tranny.
