Max, also if you know a price range that would be helpful.

typically the max power of a sub is twice its RMS rating so if its a 1000 watt peak sub then i would say it probably runs good at 500 watts goin 2 it. now all depending upon how good the subs are you may or may not want to put this much. if its some cheap ass sub 500 watts could kill it. and if its a nice nice like mine (eclipse 88120 dvc) thats says it 500rms 1000 peak and u can actualy put 100 to the sub alone and it would keep on poundin. read up on what other people say about ur brand sub and find out what would b best for ur setup.

it also depends HEAVILY on the type of music you listen to. If you listen to a lot of electronic bass music, don't go too high ....... if you listen to mostly music from actual musical instruments, you can easily double the speakers recommended power.

To find a price range for this amp it is easier when a little bit more is known about this sub. What is the impedence of the sub (usually a number anywhere from 2-8 ohms), also is it Single Voice Coil (SVC) or Dual Voice Coil (DVC)?

Right now I'd say your amp could be anywhere from $175 to $450, it just depends what brand you buy and from where.
