One of the guys staying here works for a Security firm. So with that yes our house is alarmed and so is all three garages. There is no monitoring fees as the alarms calls us on our mobile phones if it goes off.

Reasons?

The three of us here are performance car enthuisiasts, and our contents in the house. Pretty simple and practical.

Well, I have gotten an alarm after a recent string of robberies, but other than that I have never realy needed one- most of my cars I own are never really high on thieves must have lists- hence no garage alarms- but recently I have gotten expensive stuff for ni the house- hence I have got an alarm

I was thinking the same thing. Having a 44 pointed at your skull should alarm any intruder.

My alarm = my Neon on jackstands in the driveway. Once robbers get a look at that, they KNOW there is nothing worthy in the house

j/k

I do have an alarm in my house and the garage is tied into the system too. Why? My neighborhood is 30 years old, not the greatest part in town anymore, lots of seedy people in the area. Also, should a fire occur when I am not home, the alarm will alert the fire dept.
