Could the PFIS be trouble for......

I read a post on the forum that said if you mod the the 1988 sedan the you would have problems because of the PFIS what kinda mod are you talking about cause the only thing i wanna do is add a injen intake thats all until i get my b16 or b18 what do you think i smell some serious sleeper action

i know what you're talking about the little metal restrictor plate. if you're adding fuel injection (MPFI) then don't even worry about that plate. you'll be taking that dual port set-up off

okay don't get mad this is my first car and i just abr the word it's called the programed Fuel Injection if i add a intake will it mess with the car in anyway oh i had a problem also the car wouldn't start a couple days after i bought it so i check the battery and it had no water so i added water it started right up so i went and bought a used battery from advance autoparts and one day later it wouldn't start agian so i checked the spark plugs and that was it the were really wet so i replaced those with Bosch spark plugs and now it stars right up after i gave it a little jump and the battery recharged also i noticed the exhaust fumes smell alot like gas what could this be.

car dies on 2 batteries? i say check the alternator.
