engine noise

I installed an amp couple days ago and it works great. Sometimes. Depending on how I am accellerating/decelerating the amp will make a buzzing sound, like it is picking up the noise of the CD spinning. Only thing is is that it will do it on radio with the CD out! And it cuts in and out. Also there is a small high pitched whining that is continually going and fluctuates with how hard I press the accelerator. Any thoughts on how to cut this extra garbage out? My amp is a small 50 watt 2-channel if that helps....

Make sure that the power wires aren't running beside speaker/RCA wires.

the wires BRIEFLY run beside them, but all the wires do, for like, 6 inches maybe? But thats it. Actually, when I installed my driving/fog lights it fixed itself. Then when I was tidying up the wires and all today, I must have touched something I shouldn't have and I blew a fuse. When I replaced the fuse, the new lights worked just fine, but now my amp/speakers/HU is making that damn buzzing again. Please it's driving me crazy how do I stop this? I did it before but I can't figure out what the hell it was that I did! HELP!!!

i solved all my engine noise wheni regrounded my wires.........get a GOOD ground and ur problems are solved

after alot of inspection and thought, I have decided a few things: one is that whatever that buzzing sound is, it's not engine noise. Also, installing my driving lights was not what fixed it before, it was having my regular lights on that made the buzzing stop. (I drove home at night that time)

The noise tends to stop when I do one of three things, 1) make any of the instrument lights come on, 2) come in or out of gear, 3) change from CD player to radio mode on the HU. This is baffling. The only thing that would make sense would be if this new sensor I hooked up to my fusebox was causeing the noise, but when I take it out, it still makes that noise. How aggravating can a problem get? C'mon you guys you are smart tell me what's wrong!

this sounds like a problem a lot of sound boards have. Try taking the CD ground wire out of the harness and running it straight to a metal part behind the dash.

what does this do? Go ahead and throw all the tech talk at me if you need to. (I'll still try it but wondering why)
