Templates for printing license plates? Where online can I get them?
I am trying to make a customized license plate for the project I am working on. Does anyone know where I can get pictures of license plates or templates I can modify for printing them out? They will be Pennsylvania tags, and I want to be able to put a particular license number on it.

License Plates
You'll have to choose your state then enter in the number/letters. Then all you do is copy paste and resize it, or draw your own like ive had to do so many times.

It doesn't have Detroit though
. Could make some good plates for Musclecars from Detroit . Awesome page though. I will be making my own licence plates from now on, thanks!! What size do you reshape them to? How many pixels or what not?

It depends on what kind of art program you use. Me, I use the Paintbrush program. The way to do this is to open a new file, choose Image-attributes, and then measure the license plate area on the model and put the dimensions into the height and width things. then you'll have to resize the plate to that size. It will distort alot. That's why it's easier just to make your own. If you want to know how to do it, PM me and i'll tell you how.

Plates (N.A. and Japanese type) are 12 inches wide and 6 inches tall, so in 1/24 scale they should be 1/2" by 1/4". Some graphic editors will let you change the print size without diminishing the resolution, so you'll only be limited by the max resolution of your printer. Then, take it to a print shop and pay them a $1 or so to print it on their really good printers. Also, while I really like the ACME License Maker, I find this site to be even more useful... www.calpl8s.com There's a ton of pics of real plates, as well as examples of all kinds of special plates...
