DX to SI Questions
Hey i was just waondering if the sensors on the engine from the 88-91 DX and Si's are located on the same spots? And also if it would be easier to mod the wiring harness from the DX motor to make it fit the Si engine, or just to get an Si harness. I know not to get the Si harness for a DPFI to MPFI swap, but i mean the whole motor. Also want to know the differences in intake manifolds for these year Si's

for the most part the sensors are the same. just convert your dx harness to si. i'm pretty sure all the 88-91 Si intake mani's are the same.

well they are pretty much the same, (intakes mani's), but some have two ports coming out of the upper-back, one is vacuum, and the other looks like coolant, and it also hase a sensor on the drivers side back; while the other doesn't have any of these qualities. I'm guessing that one's from 88-89 and the other is from 90-91

I did the mpfi conversion on my dx a while back and that sensor on the drivers side back isn't even used.......AT ALL all it is,is like an idol up sensor say if you had accesories......mine runs perfect without it all the time........
