Unhappy nit-picking

Is it just me or has Completely Off Topic become full of people getting at eachother over tiny things?????? Usually when I enter a thread I am surrounded by people bitching about the AF Moderators- (Who do such a thankless job rather well IMHO) or people getting at each-other over the piddliest little things such as smiley usage or one tiny little midinterperitation. Not to maention the fact many seem so cynical.

OT is nothing like what it used to be- that is a sad fact- I used to be in OT all the time- Now I've slowly drifted away and perfer to go to the other parts of AF- that is beside the point- the fact is that COT can be a whole lot better if people would just get along and move on

Don't even get me started on the worthless-to-start-with threads started by a certain member that are turning into whoring grounds. I just don't want to see COT go the way of our Honda OT

Just my thoughts

Seems to me that it's mayhem everywhere, not just in COT. Who knows, maybe it's just people getting bitchy during the holiday season? I know that I'm certainly more uptight now that (for me) winter is here...

Who knows, but the more of us that keep a level-head and set an example, the sooner this trend will subside. Sometimes it's hard, I know I always see somebody posting something that pisses me off for whatever reason, and I usually respond which only further exacerbates (heheh didn't even have to look that one up) matters.

It's probably best if we don't respond to such comments as much as possible, and let the issues die.

It does seem to have gone down hill in the past few weeks. Part of the reason I don't post that often anymore.

Too many idiots just want to cause trouble

History repeating itself. COT has seen this before and it will see it again. In fact this is probably just the beginning of the introspection threads too.

And (as an observation) we can’t all get along. It’s a nice pipe dream, but I’m happy with people at least trying to tolerate each other.

I look as the COT as a place to come in and get a good laugh. I have yet to see a site with a funnier COT forum. It would be sad to loose that.

Sums it up pretty well.

At the end of the day its only the internet.
Its about as dynamic as a meduim can get, and if you can't handle a little change and oddity now and again then I suggest you spend a little more time giving the real world a go.
Infact if you find your self getting introspective about an off topic forum on the net, then prehaps you need get a little more of the real world anyway.

So stop your bitching and whining about bad threads and try making some quality ones instead.
A forum is only as good as its members.

What a crock of shit

I have tried with quality threads but morons come in and fuck them up or they get whored- So I am sick of it...........I have plenty of ideas it's just a matter of posting them into an enviroment where I know they will be appreciated and hopefully discussed- nowdays COT isn't een funny it's just full of lame shit stirring- Which was funny at the start but now it's getting old...........Not to mention the fact that I above mentioned that people bitch at eachother over the piddliest little things- e.g- the "things you didn't want to know" thread. I mean it's completely unesscary- however if you want to turn the OT into the Moppie and Yogs show- then by all means do it- I know for a fact that I am not the only long-loyal AFer that has ditched COT.

Look at it this way- you come into OT- you see a quality thread created by a member who you think always makes good threads- but you see there is 5 pages of chatting and turning it into thier own AIM. Trust me it's Honda OT happening all over again.

I will be popping into OT maybe once or twice a day- but you can mostly expect to find me around "Cars in General" or some of the European makes. Until I see an improvement in OT- then I'll consider making some threads.
