i realize the weather kinda sucks right now but just curious as to who runs their cars around here and what you drive. i live in columbus and the only "organized" variety takes place on fri/sat nights down on the sw side of town. anyone else?

street racing

Yeah im from the Youngstown, Ohio area. Theres nothing organized like in the fast and the furious. Some friends and I go over to the next town(boardman) and sit in the plazas at night and BS. If someone wants to race then they race up and town rt.224. Its pretty sweet there are some quick cars around here. I have a 95 cavalier that im workin on, nothing that you would call spectacular like these imports. I have a friend tht drives a Mazda 626 Turbo and he has a tendencie to blow the doors off of...well anyone who wants to race. Anyone from around here want to race?

Hey now, I have raced on a street in Kentucky before

Basically it comes down to random stoplight meetings, and the occasional backroad grudge match.

Cleveland's other street racer (who isn't really on the streets because of ongoing battles to keep my car's engine together and restore the rest of the wreckage) speaking up right here. If you ever catch a glimpse of a Royale Blue 1970 MGB GT, that's probably me.

racing tourneys in the youngstown/boardman ohio area

evening ladies and gentlemen. been reading the blogs and have a proposal for anyone that wants to get serious about doing some racing here in the youngstown area. i just moved up here and figured if im stuck in this craphole of an area of the u.s. i might as well have some fun. my latest project is a 99 escort zx2 rebuilt from the ground up..not too shabby. had better, had worse. i want to host some small tourneys and have some great private spots picked out. keep it quiet and email me at [email protected] if youre interested.

Re: any other ohio street racers?

Good job bringing back a thread from 2000, then was resurrected in 2003 and died again only to be grave dug back up by you in 2009.

Welcome to AF.
