Motor WHAT ONE???

Ok I have A friend in vegas that owns a junk yard and he has lots of wrecked hondas and acuras from 81-98 most have low mileage on them and are a total. What Im trying to figure out is what is the best motor to get out of what car? I will be paying 250 for a motor, tranny, cvs, shift linkage, and ecu. He told me that if the motor is a pos he will replace it for free. So I really cant go wrong. He is a good friens so I do trust him. So you guys tell me what to get and if he has a few of them they will be all up for sale...

B16A good luck finding this one in his yard. the only USDM car to have this was the del sol(and 99-00 civic Si, but he said up to 98). not common
B18a good motor to start with, pretty common
B18C not as common as the b18a, but still not impossible
B18C5 yeah right, most people who have a tuning shop will buy the entire totalled car for this one, so dont expect to see this in a junkyard
H22 too big for an everyday driver, but its not impossible to find

b17a
heres another that isnt too common, but will go into your hatch with the same amount of effort as a b16a1. plus its USDM, so you could possibly pass emissions a lot easier.

Nope, I'm not kidding.

Also, please, you need to make your sig smaller. Either cut some stuff out, or use the small image code to make it smaller .

OK Great ty for all the info. But I also need to know what kind of cars these motors come in. I have allready told him anything with a v-tec in it being a d16 sohc or a b18 dohc. But i need to know what cars most of the motors that where talked about come in cause he is in nevada and im in california. If im running up there to pick up a couple motors i want to make sure i get to best ones and from the correct cars. BTW he will be pullin the motors out for me so all i would have to do is get the cv,ect... Also is it a good deal for 250 with tranny or mix and match he dont care...

Just go with the ls motor man. Its common in the bone yards. If you can grab any v-tec motor wether its sohc or dohc...grab it.
