Question new 2003 bmw 750il

i am considering the new 750il. i currently have a 99 540i. i have heard many comments about the 02 7's. mostly bad.has anyone had bad times with this model, do you like the new idrive? all comments welcome please. i hate to spend $$$$$ if it is not worth it. of course the dealers always tell you the honest truth!!
