Send a message via AIM to Shortbus
Check with your state dept who issues titles they usually have that info as they assess gross vehicle weight taxes in some states or maybe all states.

or you could simply visit a dealer or two and check the vehicle information tag located in the drivers door jam

What kind of weight are you looking for? Curb weight, or max gross weight?

Curb weight on the '97 suburban can be found here (except 454)
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/sp...IP&tab=2&sub=3

Curb weight for '97 Tahoe can be found here (except 454)
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/sp...IP&tab=2&sub=3

You can also find the Max Gross vehicle weight at these pages as well.

Or you could stop by one of the truck stops/weigh stations, and
ask if you can check your weight. Most are pretty good about that.

Re: weight

Welcome to AF, not on the door or post drivers side? BTW, this thread is way too old, start a new one when you see a thread is over 90 days, thanks.
