Chrome wheels are definitely one of the heavier rims...definitely heavier than racing rims and aluminum alloy

yeh i got chrome 18's i noticed a big difference in acceleration it slow you down some

chrome does add weight. Quite a bit, so I've heard. But, bigger wheels are generally heavier than stock ones. If you want something light (for performance) don't go too big (like, maybe just 16's) and made from something like magnesium.

what did you come from...coming from stock 16s to any 18s, there's gonna be a difference. Or is it a known fact that chrome makes it heavier. :flash:
