Finally some good pics of my Ferrari 512TR

This is a kit that I finished earlier in the year. It is the Revell Ferrari 512TR kit. Enjoy.

Yeah this one has an engine. I just forgot to get a pic of it.

Oh well maybe I'll have those in a few months.

Jay I'll get the information on the car to you for the gallery sometime this week.

Thanks for the compliments.

Believe it or not, I've never completely built a Tamiya kit. I don't know what I am missing.

Question

Has Revell made that kit by themselves or is that a reboxed Fujimi or Rosso kit?

I'm pretty sure that it was just a Revell made kit.

Nice, is that the skill 3 kit? I had that, took me two years to get it 40% done, then I trashed it and painted the engine pure gold I had that engine in a Mustang once

Yeah it's the skill 3. I'm not sure why it was a skill three though. I just thought the pieces didn't fit well because it was a Revell.

I think there is a skill level for the amount of parts in the kit & if it has moving parts, fragile bits etc etc. That Ferrari was my 2nd model I think, and I was stuck on it for awhile, although I didn't really do much on it at the time. There ain't nothing wrong with Revell, at least they still make you sit down for awhile prepping your model and give you parts to keep you busy, unlike Fujimi & Tamiya which only take a day or two to get done because they come with around 50 parts, most don't come with an engine & you don't have to do anything to a Tamiya, just stick it all together and smack some paint on it. Personally I like to get my $30-$50 worth of something that will keep me going for awhile not a day.

Yeah I agree that I have gotten a lot of satisfaction out of my Revell models. They usually take me at least a couple months.
