Update (my B18C1 swap)
Update: (B18C1 swap)
Okay, I figured out the idle thing. The return spring was a little stuck. I gave it a nudge and it corrected. I hooked up a radiator from a Toyota cresida to it. It looks ghetto as hell all wired in but it works. I started it again today. The motor sounds good but I still want to be possitive that there isn't anything wrong that I can fix while the motor is out. I'm going to do a compression check. What should the compression be for each cylinder? Also, are there any other tests that I can perform? The motor has 150k miles on it already. Will I need to change the water and oil pump? Timing belt? Anything else? |

Re: Update (my B18C1 swap)
If the motor is out, do as much maintenance you can with the money you have. Ease of installation negates the cost you pay now versus trying to do the timing belt and what not later with the motor in the car.
