Super fine sanding film and orange peel ?

Ok, so i painted my Sube with the blue. I covered the primer all around, i am planning on doing some more coats too. But theres a problem, the orange peel is really bad. I have super fine sanding film thats probably about 2000 grit. After all the coats, can i sand down the orange peel without getting down to the primer? Thanks.

For SERIOUS orangepeel you might have to resort to 1000grit sandpaper, possibly even lower. There's nothing wrong with adding more layers of paint as long as you don't lose detail. If you put 7 light layers of paint on a model and got sufficient coverage, you'll probably remove 1-3 layers while wetsanding and polishing.

Yep...wet sanding is using water as you sand . I do it all the time as its not as messy with dry sanding

DONT add more paint to the model if its bad, as the paint will just end up making the orange peel look worse. Sand it all smooth, or strip the paint off if you are starting to loose detail

Last I heard, Igor was still shopping around with different hosts, both for price and capacity... No set timeline yet, just laying out the next steps...

edit: strike that; reverse it. I just read where Igor posted something to the effect of "next two weeks." :flash:

Yep.

But come to think about it, it's not really too far off-topic. We're discussing when things will smooth out around here
